The role

We’re on a new business roll. That means our team needs support servicing existing clients as well as securing the exciting new opportunities coming in. The
role requires a skilled PR client handler with a minimum of six years’ experience and proven track record in corporate and consumer cross-channel PR. The
chosen candidate will support clients with a range of needs from reputation building, issues management to media relations and digital campaigns. In
addition, the role will require someone motivated to get involved in and win new business.

Client portfolio: Across DHL portfolio (DHL Express, DHL Parcel UK, DHL Supply Chain), Flintfox Global, KP Snacks

Client Relations:
● Establish strong relationships of trust across a range of clients, using influencing skills to engage with and earn the respect client teams
● Principal point of contact with day-to-day client to ensure programme remains on track, deliver sound advice and best practice approach to client
relationship management including strong listening skills, appropriate participation at meetings, timely updates etc.
● Ability to negotiate and secure programmes, projects and budgets including appropriate evaluation elements
Communication/ Presentation:
● Proven ability to communicate positively with a large group
● Strong negotiation, meeting and listening skills
● Ensure good working knowledge of client sectors, media and stakeholder environment with the ability to confidently represent the client and agency
in a wide range of situations

Writing skills:
● High level of written communications (internal and external) including grammar, spelling, structure and news worthiness where relevant.
● Sign-off on all final proofs of documents as appropriate for clients
● Production of polished proposals, presentations and plans

Activation skills:
● Proven creative capability with the ability to translate strategy and business knowledge to creative ideas that have an application across digital and
traditional media channels
● Confident and experienced media handler:
o proven track record in crisis and issues
o ability to plan and secure high profile proactive media coverage to client brief, using knowledge and relationships
● Knowledge of digital landscape with an ability to offer consultancy around content management, community management and social crisis
management

Finance:
● Demonstrate confidence budgeting a client programme, controlling supplier costs plus new business proposals
● Responsible for overall control of client budget including tracking and reconciliations
● Ensure client PO’s are received and client billing is undertaken in a timely manner
● As part of senior management team have responsibility for delivering new business and client organic growth income.

New business:
● Contribute to new business pitches as a key member of the senior team
● Deliver competent first stage new business documents and project proposals
● Support agency growth by promoting the agency, networking and bring new business development ideas to the table

Team management:
● Ability to coach, inspire and support the career development of a talented team
● Lead account teams with confidence, managing day to day workload delivery to the highest standards across your accounts
● Line management responsibility

Location

Primarily home based, with a minimum of one day a week in our office Southwark
