WH Smith, the UK’s most popular bookseller, stationer and newsagent, has appointed Another Word Communications.

 The agency will report to Laura Wildish, Marketing Manager, and support the business in the lead up to the Christmas period, focusing on its seasonal product range.

 Commenting on the appointment, Laura Wildish says: “Another Word impressed us with their response to our brief which demonstrated how they would use creative tactics to engage audiences but ultimately drive them in-store in the lead up to Christmas.”

 Nichola Mughal, Joint Managing Director of Another Word says: “Christmas is the single most important trading time for WH Smith High Street and we’re looking forward to bringing some festive cheer to the business with a campaign that delivers creatively and commercially.”

 With over a 1,300 stores nationwide and a legacy dating back to 1792, WH Smith is one of the UK’s leading retailers. The company is made up of two businesses – Travel and High Street. The Travel business consists of over 750 units in airports, railway stations, motorway service areas, hospitals and workplaces while The High Street business operates stores on nearly every significant UK high street.
